MURRIETA (CNS) - A young man accused of fatally shooting a 19-year-old Wildomar resident was due to make his initial court appearance Friday, Nov. 13Â in Murrieta.
Joshua Emanuel Navarro, 18, of Lake Elsinore was arrested Monday for allegedly shooting Blake Paine to death.
Navarro is charged with murder, assault with a semiautomatic rifle, possession of an assault weapon and sentence-enhancing gun and great bodily injury allegations.
He is being held on $1 million bail at the Byrd Detention Center and slated to appear before Riverside County Superior Court Judge Stephen Gallon at the Southwest Justice Center.
Paine was fatally shot about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Riley Street, near Sumner Avenue, according to sheriff's Sgt. Steve Brosche.
