Santa Ana winds expected on Thanksgiving in Riverside County

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Gusty Santa Ana winds and low humidity will raise the risk of wildfires throughout the Inland Empire on Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.Winds out of the northeast on Thursday will be between 20-30 mph throughout Riverside County, with gusts possibly reaching 45 mph in the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning, forecasters said. Humidity levels will plummet on Thursday afternoon, then remain around 15% on Friday and Saturday.The weather agency issued a fire weather watch that will be in effect from 2 p.m. Thursday through 10 p.m. Friday in the Riverside metropolitan area, the Riverside County mountains and the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning.
