Highway 60 Gilman Springs westbound offramp closed for week

The westbound Gilman Springs Road/Highway 60 offramp was closed temporarily to allow Riverside County Transportation Crews and contractors to conduct paving operations.Gilman Springs Road reaches from Highway 79 at Sanderson Avenue in San Jacinto to Highway 60 in Moreno Valley and is a second route for local motorists not using Highway 60 out of Banning.When completed, the Route 60 Truck Lanes Project will widen a 4.5-mile section of Route 60 between Gilman Springs Road and 1.4 miles west of Jack Rabbit Trail through Riverside County’s Badlands between Moreno Valley and Beaumont. The project lies within mountainous terrain with a curving alignment and steep grades. The project is designed to improve safety and reduce traffic congestion. The new lanes are expected to open in 2022.
