My Thanksgiving voyage to the ‘New Cyberworld’
Millions of Americans faced a very different Thanksgiving holiday due to levels of coronavirus cases rising to record levels and the government and health authorities advising people to stay home instead of gathering together for this revered American celebration.While many still travel to meet and see their families as normal, I chose to follow the stay-at-home recommendations, since I am in the “at risk” category for COVID-19 because of my age.Looking at the present situation I choose to call it living in the “New Cyberworld” and comparing it to the “New World” in America promised to the religiously persecuted Pilgrims who arrived and settled in Plymouth, Massachusetts, in the years 1620 to 1630.The voyage to the New WorldFour hundred years later, I feel much
