Menifee man arraigned for spousal abuse, possession of explosives

MURRIETA (CNS) - A 57-year-old Menifee man allegedly caught with homemade explosives and a cache of firearms, uncovered during an investigation into spousal abuse, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to unlawful possession of a destructive device and other charges. Timothy Lee Rarick was arrested last December following a Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigation at his residence in the 28000 block of Richfield Circle, near Menifee Road. Along with the destructive device count, Rarick is charged with inflicting corporal injury on a spouse, assault resulting in great bodily injury and two counts of making criminal threats. He was arraigned before Superior Court Judge Stephen Gallon, who scheduled a felony settlement conference for Jan. 8 at the Southwest Justice Center in Muriet
