The Hemet City Council named reelected councilmember Karlee Meyer as the city’s newest mayor and councilmember-elect Joe Males as mayor pro tem for 2021 at the Tuesday, Dec. 8, city council meeting.Meyer, Males and Malcolm B. Lilienthal Jr. were sworn into office that evening with outgoing city council member Michael Perciful and city treasurer Judith Oltman honored by the incoming council with certificates and named street signs.
