CHP seeks help finding perpetrator of fatal freeway shooting

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The killer of a 72-year-old Riverside man struck by gunfire on Interstate 15 a week ago remains at large, and the California Highway Patrol Monday, Dec. 21 sought the public's assistance to identify the shooter. Aberlardo Magana was shot about 5 p.m. Dec. 14 in the southbound lanes of I-15, near Jurupa Street, in Ontario, according to the CHP. ``As far as anyone can tell at this point, he was just an innocent victim,'' Officer Dan Olivas told City News Service. ``It was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.''
