RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A winter storm is forecast to bring heavy rain and mountain snow to the region Monday, Dec. 28. Showers are expected to drop between half an inch and an inch of rain in Riverside County, according to the National Weather Service. Meanwhile, mountain areas between 4,500 and 5,500 feet will see two to six inches of snow, though the heaviest snow is expected to hit elevations above 5,500 feet, including the San Jacinto mountains according to the NWS. Those areas are forecast to receive 12 to 18 inches of snow.
