COVID-19 numbers flatten out heading into Christmas

In data compiled from Friday, Dec. 18, through Thursday, Dec. 24, Riverside County seemed to be leveling off as far as new cases and deaths are concerned, and the pace of new hospitalizations has slowed, so too the pace of people being admitted to the intensive care unit, according to the Riverside University Health System.Riverside County health officials did not provide updated COVID-19 numbers Friday, Dec. 25, due to the Christmas holiday.Since Dec. 18, 17,408 people tested positive for the virus over six days, down from the week before, in which more than 28,000 people were positive over a seven-day span.
