Four people injured in head-on crash near Moreno Valley

MORENO VALLEY (CNS) - Four people, including three children, were hurt this morning in a head-on collision near Moreno Valley. The crash was reported about 7 a.m. on Gilman Springs Road, east of Alessandro Boulevard, just outside Moreno Valley city limits, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officer Matt Napier said a sedan crossed over the double yellow lines, clipped a box truck, and then collided with another sedan head-on. At least one person became trapped and had to be freed from the wreckage. The Riverside County Fire Department reported an adult suffered injuries described as serious, while three other patients -- described only as ``pediatric'' patients -- suffered injuries of an unknown severity.
