Seyarto introduces protection bill on Data Privacy Day

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Kelly Seyarto, R-Murrieta, introduced Assembly Bill 346, a bill that will expand the notification of data breaches of any agency in the state to also include unauthorized access.Data breaches come in many forms. While the current law requires agencies to report to Californians any acquired personal information gained through their computerized data systems, the law does not cover or include unauthorized access.
