State CTC approves road funding in Lake Elsinore

The California Transportation Commission allocated more than $571 million recently to address transportation needs throughout the state. One of those is the El Toro Road-Dexter Avenue Safe Routes to School Sidewalk Project for $410,000 awarded to the Riverside County Transportation Commission.The awarded project is located in the unincorporated area of Warm Springs and in Lake Elsinore northeast of Interstate 15 at Central Avenue. It will allow Riverside County Transportation Commission to construct 5,748 feet of sidewalk, curb and gutter on El Toro Road/Dexter Avenue from Carmella Court to 630 feet north of Central Avenue, including seven new curb ramps, a new crosswalk and two flashing beacons that is an investment that will help repair highways and bridges and enhance California’s
