Salt Creek Trail conservation services agreement approved

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a conservation services agreement for Salt Creek Trail. The supervisors’ 5-0 vote Tuesday, Feb. 9, approved the agreement between the county and the San Jacinto Basin Resource Conservation District. The county will pay the resource conservation district $425,631 for the habitat restoration services and will use congestion mitigation and air quality funding from the Federal Highway Administration for that amount. Salt Creek Trail covers 16 miles and is a multipurpose regional trail. A Class I bicycle path that is separate from any areas accessible to motor vehicles is part of the trail.
