Salt Creek Trail conservation services agreement approved

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a conservation services agreement for Salt Creek Trail.The supervisors’ 5-0 vote Tuesday, Feb. 9, approved the agreement between the county and the San Jacinto Basin Resource Conservation District. The county will pay the resource conservation district $425,631 for the habitat restoration services and will use congestion mitigation and air quality funding from the Federal Highway Administration for that amount.Salt Creek Trail covers 16 miles and is a multipurpose regional trail. A Class I bicycle path that is separate from any areas accessible to motor vehicles is part of the trail.
