Man suspected of stalking, harassing Canyon Lake girl

CANYON LAKE (CNS) - A 51-year-old man suspected of stalking and harassing a Canyon Lake girl was out of custody Thursday, free on a $50,000 bond. Alfonso Martinez of Canyon Lake was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of felony stalking and misdemeanor annoying a child by telephone or other means. He posted bail Wednesday and was released from custody. According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Martinez was under investigation for an alleged sexual assault that occurred earlier this year when information was obtained indicating he had been making unwanted advances on the underage girl, whose age was not released.
