RIVERSIDE COUNTY – The Riverside County Board of Supervisors recognized April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Tuesday, March 30, emphasizing the role that strong community partnerships play in preventing abuse and neglect before it starts.“Child maltreatment can negatively impact the health and well-being of victims throughout their lives,” Karen Spiegel, board chair and District 2 supervisor, said. “We are a better community and a more compassionate society when we value and protect the well-being of our children.
