Rescue crews pull injured rock climber from Santa Ana Mountains

Emergency crews rescued an injured adult who was rock climbing in the Cleveland National Forest Sunday, April 25.The injury was reported at 3:14 p.m. at Ortega Falls off Highway 74 near El Cariso, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.A Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter extracted the rock climber from a hard-to-reach spot in the Santa Ana Mountains, fire officials said.The injured adult was then taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
