RivCo COVID hospitalizations edge up; 2 more deaths reported

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The number of COVID-positive patients hospitalized in Riverside County edged up Wednesday, while 95 new cases and two additional virus-related deaths were reported. According to the Riverside University Health System, 72 people countywide are hospitalized with coronavirus, four more than Tuesday, and that RUHS said the aggregate number of COVID-19 cases recorded since the public health documentation period began in March 2020 is 298,872, up 95 from Tuesday, May 4. A total 4,576 deaths from virus-related complications have been recorded in the last 13 months. The number of known active virus cases countywide is 1,732, down 62 from Tuesday. The active count is derived by subtracting deaths and recoveries from the current total -- 298,872 -- according to the county
