The Murrieta Mesa girls’ basketball team made the most of their time on the court during this pandemic ridden season, which was moved to the spring instead of playing out their normal winter-based schedule. In 2020, prior to COVID-19 taking its course all over the world, the Lady Rams won their first league title going undefeated 10-0 in the Southwestern League, garnishing an 18-11 overall record, and making it to round two of the CIF Southern Section Division 3AA playoffs. This year, with only a 12-game schedule, Murrieta Mesa went 8-2 in league to win back-to-back titles and will once again move on to the post season, where they will be home to face Rancho Verde in round one of the of Division 2AA playoffs. “This season has been unique for sure,” says Murrieta Mesa head coach, D
