Menifee City Council questions value of longtime Public Safety Committee
The fate of the longtime Menifee Public Safety Committee, which reviews public safety records, needs and wants, will be decided at the Menifee City Council’s next regular meeting.The Public Safety Committee was formed as an ad hoc committee shortly before the city was incorporated in 2008, with two council members designated as committee members. Attendees during the early years of the committee included the city manager, city clerk, management analyst (emergency services coordinator), Riverside County Sheriff’s Office (RSO) staff and Crime Watch. The fire chief was included in the meetings beginning in mid-2010. Code enforcement updates were also added in 2010. It now also includes members of the Menifee Interfaith and Community Service Council, school board and several others who
