Cahuilla Tribe celebrates 25th anniversary of gaming industry outside new casino hotel

The Cahuilla Band of Indians celebrated the 25th anniversary of its gaming industry with more than 150 tribal members, Bird Singers and special guests at the tribe’s Cahuilla Casino Hotel in Anza on June 5. Tribal Chairman Daniel Salgado joined the Bird Singers, describing in music the history and traditions of the tribe. Other Tribal Council members and the designers and builders of the casino were in attendance. The many families attending the delayed anniversary celebration held outside of the facility enjoyed a dinner prepared by the casino restaurant chefs and others.
