Wildfire ignites on Perris hillside

PERRIS  - Firefighters stopped the forward spread of a five-acre fire in Perris today. The fire was reported at 3:38 p.m. in the hills west of A Street and West Metz Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. Firefighters from Corona, Hemet and Murrieta also responded to the blaze. Fire officials announced that the forward spread of the flames had been stopped at 4:27 p.m. Copyright 2021, City News Service, Inc.
