The Rancho California Water District, the Eastern Municipal Water District, and the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District approved new water and sewer rates.
The Rancho California Water District vote June 10 was 6-1 with Angel Garcia opposed. Multiple 5-0 Eastern Municipal Water District board votes June 16 approved the new rates. The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District approvals took place June 24; the 4-0 vote on the water rates reflects a vacant seat caused by the resignation of Jared McBride from the board while the 3-1 sewer rates vote had Darcy Burke in opposition.
“I think that this is the lowest responsible rate increase that this board can advocate for and approve,” RCWD board member Brian Brady said.
