CHP seeks help finding driver in deadly hit-and-run Near Elsinore

The driver of a 2021 Dodge Charger who was killed during a collision with a big rig Thursday, April 15, on Interstate 15 southbound, north of 395, is identified a 42-year-old male from Baldwin Park, according to the CHP. LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) - The California Highway Patrol is asking for public help in identifying and tracking down a driver involved in a hit-and-run collision just north of Lake Elsinore that fatally injured a 16-year-old boy.Jacob Becerra of Lake Elsinore died Tuesday at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar from injuries he suffered nine days earlier.According to the CHP, the victim was riding his dirt bike in the area of El Toro Road and Sanderson Pass about 6:30 p.m. July 11 when he was hit by a dark-colored mid-2000s Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. Witnesses who called 911 said the vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on El Toro toward Interstate 15, according to the CHP.CHP investigators have been trying to identity the vehicle and driver involved but have so far develop
