Students told to stay home for not wearing masks

For Springs Charter School students Victoria and Drew Nelson school has always been a positive experience. The siblings are well known at the school for their good attitudes and exceptional work ethic, but thanks to an incident that occurred at the Temecula school Thursday, Aug. 19, the two students won’t be returning to the school anytime soon.According to Gary Nelson, his children didn’t wear their masks on the first day of school due to their religious beliefs. The siblings, he said, “feel that mask wearing is demonic, does not portray who they are and that they are made in the image of God.”“They do not like women in the Middle East getting killed for not wearing head coverings, and they are taught such at their church,” Gary Nelson said, adding that Victoria and Dr
