Seven local organizations given CID funding

Seven local organizations were allocated Community Improvement Designation funding during the Aug. 17 Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting. The supervisors’ 5-0 vote approved grants of $5,000 for My City Youth Center, $5,000 for Project Touch, $3,000 for the Assistance League of Temecula Valley, $2,500 for the Hemet chapter of the California VFW Motorcycle Club, $2,500 for Hospice of the Valleys, $2,500 for MilVet, and $1,000 for the Art Alliance of Idyllwild. Community Improvement Designation grants can be allocated to nonprofit organizations, public agencies, county departments, or other organizations with programs which serve the social needs of the county’s population.
