Heat Advisory in effect until 9 pm Sunday

A Heat Advisory remains in effect for San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys-The Inland Empire-Including the cities of Riverside, San Bernardino, Ontario, Moreno Valley, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, and Corona Sat. Aug. 28, 2021.

Temps are expected to be between 100 to 106 degrees in the Inland Empire until 9 pm Sunday with the possible impacts of heat illness occurring.

Precautions include drinking plenty of fluids, staying out of midday sun, and checking on relatives and neighbors.  Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.

Extra precautions are recommended if working or spending time outside. When
possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heatstroke is an emergency! Call 911.
