SAN JACINTO – The Mt. San Jacinto College football team had to cancel its first two football games of the season after five players tested positive for COVID-19, according to a news release issued Thursday September 2.Also, according to the release, the administration started a 10-day quarantine period for the team after receiving guidance from the Riverside County Department of Public Health. Players and coaches who are vaccinated and are not showing symptoms are not required to quarantine.Mt. San Jacinto was scheduled to open the season on Saturday afternoon at home against Riverside City College. The Eagles’ game at Moorpark College on Sept. 11, also was canceled because in falls within the quarantine period. The college will quarantine the football team until Sept. 12. Any
