RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Riverside County reported a large decrease in coronavirus hospitalizations, while an additional 12 virus-related deaths were reported, the latest data show.According to numbers released Tuesday by the Riverside University Health System, the number of COVID hospitalizations countywide was 613, down 60 from Friday, while the number of intensive care patients being treated for the virus decreased to 124, down 24 from Friday.County officials do not update their coronavirus numbers on weekends, and no new data was announced Monday because of the Labor Day holiday.The aggregate number of COVID cases recorded in Riverside County since the pandemic began in March 2020 stood at 340,700, an increase of 1,900 from Friday.
