Congressmen urge military academy prospects to apply soon

College-bound Temecula Valley residents who have an interest in attending one of the nation’s federal military academies were urged to submit their applications to the office of Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Temecula, for consideration.The deadline to submit is Oct. 29, and any pending or recent high school graduate who lives in Issa’s 50th Congressional District was invited to file an application.“Nominating esteemed young men and women to attend one of the U.S. military service academies is a great honor,” Issa said. “These students will be the leaders of tomorrow who answer the call of their country and volunteer to stand in service to America.”Also encouraging potential military academy students to seek a nomination is U.S. Representative Raul Ruiz who has offices in Hem
