GOOD HOPE (CNS) – A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run collision today in Good Hope, where California Highway Patrol officers were searching for the driver who hit him.
The victim was hit about 2:50 p.m. on westbound Highway 74 near Ellis Avenue, according to the CHP.
The agency said that an unknown vehicle ran into the rider, who was ejected onto the highway and was left unconscious.
It was unclear where the driver might have fled.
Other motorists stopped to render assistance until Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the location 10 minutes later.
The victim was taken Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment of unspecified moderate injuries.
CHP officers began canvassing the area in an attempt to locate the hit-and-run suspect.
