Supervisors renew Temecula Wine Country Tourism Marketing District

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved the renewal of the Temecula Wine Country Tourism Marketing District A 4-0 vote Nov. 2, with Kevin Jeffries abstaining, extended the district retroactive to Nov. 1. The extension will be through Oct. 31, 2026, although subsequent Board of Supervisors approval can allow for additional renewals. In November 2015, Visit Temecula Valley requested the formation of the Temecula Wine Country Tourism Marketing District. The district includes a benefit assessment which helps fund marketing and sales promotion activities for Temecula Wine Country lodging businesses. Tourism marketing districts allow lodging and other tourism-related businesses to have an organized effort. The business owners within the district are assessed to provide the funding
