LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) - A man suspected of stealing a vehicle in Long Beach and driving it into Lake Elsinore, where Riverside County sheriff's deputies attempted unsuccessfully to apprehend him, was at large today. Deputies were alerted to a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Canyon Hills and Railroad Canyon roads at about 3:30 a.m. Monday, according to Sgt. Veronica Amparano of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. She said the car had been reported stolen out of Long Beach, and deputies immediately signaled the driver, whose identity was not released, to pull over, but he refused.
