Additional charges filed against man accused of blasting vehicle windows

RIVERSIDE  - Additional felony charges were filed today against an Anaheim man accused of using a BB gun to blow out the windows on cars in a weeks-long series of attacks on Southern California freeways and roads. Jesse Leal Rodriguez, 34, was arrested in May after his vehicle was identified in connection with an attack in Norco and similar incidents that occurred later on the Riverside (91) Freeway. He was originally charged with three counts each of attempted murder and assault likely to produce great bodily injury. However, Riverside County prosecutors on Monday submitted an amended complaint adding three charges of assault with a deadly weapon, connected to two separate attacks on the 91 freeway, neither of which resulted in injuries.
