Storm predicted to produce rain, snow showers in Inland Empire

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A storm system rolling into the Inland Empire tonight will produce rain and moderate snowfall at higher elevations going into Thursday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters said the trough of low pressure sliding into the region from the northwest will spread wet weather throughout Southern California, though intensity levels will vary."Showers will develop tonight and continue into Thursday afternoon, with showers ending from the northwest early Thursday evening,'' the NWS stated. "Rainfall will range from one tenth to one-quarter inch near the coast, to one-half to one-inch in the mountains.
