A 28-year-old man who repeatedly molested a Lake Elsinore girl was sentenced Wednesday, Dec. 8, to 12 years in state prison.Geovanni Arturo Mendoza admitted in November to committing at least four lewd acts on a child under 14 years old and distributing pornography to a minor.The plea was made directly to Riverside County Superior Court Judge Timothy Freer at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta, without input from the district attorney’s office. No charges were dismissed.Freer imposed the sentence that the court had stipulated Tuesday, Nov. 2, and also ordered lifetime sex offender registration for Mendoza.The defendant was arrested in November 2020 following a month-long sheriff’s investigation.In early October 2020, the girl, whose identity was not disclosed,
