Flood control district to purchase five Temescal Creek Floodplain parcels

The Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District will acquire five parcels in the Temescal Creek Floodplain in unincorporated Lake Elsinore.The Riverside County Board of Supervisors members are also the board of the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, and the county supervisors voted 5-0 Tuesday, Dec. 14, to authorize the real property purchase from The Northern Trust Company. The supervisors’ action also found the purchase to be categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act review.The five parcels total approximately 5.16 acres and are off Temescal Canyon Road.
