San Jose Man Arrested After Dangerous Pursuit Through San Jacinto

SAN JACINTO  - A 29-year-old parolee from San Jose remained jailed without bail today after leading authorities on a wild pursuit in an allegedly stolen vehicle from San Jacinto to Hemet. The pursuit began at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday when deputies attempted to stop the suspect near Ramona Expressway and Lake Park Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The driver sped off and drove in a reckless manner through San Jacinto, prompting deputies on the ground to fall back while a sheriff's helicopter continued to follow the suspect from above, Sgt. J. Wade Lenton said.
