An 80-year-old Murrieta man with dementia, who drove away in his pickup truck today without notifying family members, prompting police to initiate a search, has been located.

According to the Murrieta Police Department, Martin Tucker, who was last seen about noon in the area of Adams and Magnolia streets Monday, January 24, was located safely by the afternoon.

The agency said Tucker left from his residence in his green 1997 Dodge Ram pickup, but his destination was unknown. There was no word on where he might have intended to go, but because of his dementia, authorities feared that because he was disoriented and lost, he needed to be located quickly, which he was.
