IDYLLWILD (CNS) - A hiker fell and died today on a trail near Idyllwild. The fall occurred about 2:10 p.m. on the South Ridge Trail near Tahquitz Peak in the San Jacinto Mountains, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.A Riverside County sheriff's helicopter rescue team was dispatched to the location and reported that the hiker died at the scene.
