SAN JACINTO – The MSJC Art Gallery will offer a free virtual Art Talk featuring local artist Rony Armas from 1-2 pm., Thursday, Feb. 24.Sponsored by the MSJC Foundation, Armas’ “Our Stories Are Ancient” photo series asked its subjects to present a symbol from their family’s indigenous heritage. That symbol was etched onto a piece of glass and the sitter was posed behind the glass.Through this layering of meaning, imagery and portraiture, the artist brings the layers of our humanity into focus. The model contributes their life experience as captured by their eyes, skin, lips and hair.
