SAN JACINTO (CNS) – Two spot fires broke out today near a San Jacinto
intersection but were quickly knocked down before threatening properties.
The non-injury blazes were reported at about 2:30 p.m. in the area of
Cottonwood Avenue and Kirby Street, according to the Riverside County Fire
Department.
The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location and
encountered flames along Cottonwood, burning in confined spaces across from a
housing subdivision.
Firefighters completely contained the pair of small fires 10 minutes
later, according to reports from the scene. There was no immediate word on how they started. Copyright 2022, City News Service, Inc.
