WINCHESTER (CNS) - A motorist was killed and another injured today in
a two-vehicle collision on Highway 79 in Winchester that occurred when the
driver of a sedan lost control and turned in front of a pickup.The collision happened about 1:20 p.m. on the southbound side of the
highway, near Patterson Avenue, close to Winchester Farms, according to the
California Highway Patrol.Officer Jason Montez said the driver of a BMW, identified only as a 23-
year-old Menifee man, was headed northbound on the 79 "at a high rate of
speed'' when he failed to negotiate a left curve on the highway."The BMW veered to the left and re-entered the highway,'' Montez said.He said at the same time, a 44-year-old San Bernardino man at the
