Many of Menifee’s older adults, disabled or with very low incomes may soon see relief in their transportation worries with a $150,000 grant from the Riverside County Transportation Commission for a pilot program in the city’s underserved community.The possibilities for the use of this grant was presented to the Menifee City Council at its Wednesday, May 4, regular meeting at city hall by RCTC’s Lorelle Moe-Luna, multimodal services director and Dennis Brooks, vice president AMMA Transit Planning.The council for several months has been hearing about the difficulties many of its seniors are having in timely transportation to and from doctors appointments, grocery shopping and other community services.
