PERRIS – The Val Verde Unified School District was one of 13 districts named Lighthouse Demonstration System Monday, May 2, by AASA, School Superintendents Association, for their commitment to developing future-ready learners.
The 13 school districts across the nation that were recognized as “Lighthouse” systems will serve as models of positive change in public education. More than 120 demonstration systems representing forward-leaning, urban, suburban and rural school districts engaged in networking, learning and working together to help education policy and improve student learning.
