Annual Hemet Pride celebration coming virtually June 10

The fifth annual Hemet Pride celebration will be virtual again this year but that will not lessen the importance of its message of “Love Will Keep Us Together.” A community panel, drag performers and free swag items will be part of the free event Friday, June 10 from 5-8 p.m.Brenda Scott, Executive Director at NAMI Mt. San Jacinto, said the event was launched five years ago after one of the board members recommended it. With the help of a small grant opportunity and some additional funds, NAMI partnered with Riverside University Health System-Behavioral Health and other community-based organizations.
