Supervisors approve Lakeland Village Sports Park concept, budget

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved the concept and a budget of the Lakeland Village Sports ParkA 5-0 vote May 10 approved the Lakeland Village Sports Park project in principle, added the sports park to the county’s Capital Improvement Program, approved a preliminary budget of $5,000,000, authorized the use of up to $5,000,000 of American Rescue Plan Act funding for project expenses, authorized the director of the county’s Facilities Management department to utilize pre-qualified consultants, authorized the county’s Purchasing Agent to execute service agreements with pre-qualified consultants for up to $100,000 per consultant, and found the upgrade of the existing facility categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act review.The Lakeland Villag
