The total lunar eclipse of Sunday, May 15 was a much-anticipated and well-documented astronomical event in the skies above the Anza Valley.Local shutterbugs captured the various phases of the eclipse to share with friends and neighbors. Clear skies allowed excellent views of the interesting occasion.The eclipse occurred in the early evening, thrilling residents with its bright red color and long duration.Images of the eclipse appeared on social media as soon as the event began, recording this natural phenomenon to share with those who could not see it themselves.
