Deputies arrest burglary suspect fleeing Temecula business

TEMECULA (CNS) – A 38-year-old Oxnard resident was in custody today accused of burglarizing a Temecula business from which he was seen running by deputies.
Michael Terry Washington was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta for suspicion of burglary and possession of burglary tools, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Narciso.
Deputies were summoned at 1:20 a.m. Sunday to a burglary in progress at a business in the 31000 block of Temecula Parkway, Narciso said.
“Deputies arrived within two minutes and located the suspect running from the business,” he said. “After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended without incident.”
Deputies recovered the stolen merchandise and returned it to the business owner, Narciso said.
Washington was held in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s inmate records.
Anyone with information regarding this case was asked to contact deputies at the Southwest Sheriff’s Station at 951-696-3000.
