City of Menifee to host first `Citizens Academy’ for benefit of residents

MENIFEE (CNS) - The city of Menifee is opening up the halls of government to residents interested in seeing how public servants work on their behalf and what it takes to keep departments functioning, in what will be the inaugural “Menifee Citizens Academy,” it was announced today. The Office of Economic Development will initiate the eight-week program on Aug. 16 and is inviting residents to apply now to reserve a spot in the academy. “Menifee's Citizens Academy will provide participants with a behind-the-scenes look of how the city operates and give them a wealth of knowledge regarding their city government,” City Manager Armando Villa said. “By building this strong foundation together, we can create a powerful and better-informed community.” The academy workshops will be he
