The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a rezone, environmental mitigated negative declaration and plot plan for a 2.59-acre Winchester parcel.The supervisors voted 5-0 Tuesday, May 24, to approve the project. The land consists of three legal parcels, and the plot plan allows for a restaurant and a multi-tenant retail building along with parking lots and a retention basin. The rezone changes the zoning classification from Rural Residential (R-R) to Scenic Highway Commercial (C-P-S).The parcels are south of state Route 74, north of Old Highway 74, east of Amanda Avenue and west of Winchester Road.
